  1. s*x

  2. Cells bring in food and let out toxins.

As a cell gets larger, the ratio of volume to surface area changes.  When it gets really large, it can't get rid of toxins fast enough, so it dies.

Instead of dying, it splits in half.  This process is called mitosis.  In mitosis, the DNA strands unravel, then each half gathers loose amino acids until there are two complete copies of the original strand.  Then half of the DNA is pulled to one side of the cell and half to the other side, and the cell splits.

The smaller cells now can take in food and let out toxins better than the larger cell could.

  3. cells like jail cells are comman to be 8 ft by 8 ft but seg cells are 6ft by 7ft

  4. every so often the cells divide through a process called mitosis. I wont go into detail but it involves the chromosomes copying each other and then being split apart and pushed into a new nucleus then the cell membrame reforms and you have two seperate cells. this is constantly happening in your body so cells are kept small.
