  1. Fire reacts to anything flammable, but then fire also reacts to water.

  2. fire can react amazingly well with a wide variety of liquids.

Check any warning label that says "Danger: Flammable."  Or "Under Pressure" ......and watch the fun.

  3. alcohol, oil. duh.

  4. Fire does react to liquids eg. beer. Try pooring some beer on a fire. The fire sizzles, smolders, and goes out. Its really exciting.

  5. Be carefull there is such a thing as a "Fire Fery"  it does not care if you have water or gas.  If you have one of these you will know it soon after your first 3 Beers.  Watch what looks like a tornado.  This will l**k the backs of your friends legs, as they stand around the pile.  The drunker one gets the easier it is to taste them.

  6. Some correct answers.

The fire will 'react' to ALMOST any fluid.....AIR is a fluid, and even with that it sort of reacts in that it needs air (oxygen) to burn.

Anyway, it will readily burn beer and others such as kerosene IF the fluid is atomized sufficiently. Meaning....if it is presented into the flame a mist. The drops are small enough that anything flammable in them will be noticed when the 'spray' hits the flame.

Drop a match into a pan of kerosene and nothing happens....atomize it and spray it into a match and something WILL happen.

It is the fumes that react anyway...and even gasoline will not react if you throw a match into it if it is done so below the temperature at which it will produce fumes.

There's no magic with it....just basic science.

  7. try with pure alcohol, it's even funnier than beer !

  8. Sure. Have you ever tried squirting starting fluid on a charcoal barbecue?  I would call that a reaction. High-proof liquors are flammable too. Water is not flammable and beer is mostly water.
