What little things can I do around my computer to make it perform faster?

Like removing pointer trails, changing themes, or anything like that.

I already done disk fragmentation and disk cleanup so don't say that!

1)  Defrag your hard drive (click "my computer," right click "properties," go to tools and select defrag.)  Do a disk cleanup first.  The whole process will take at least an hour, or longer.

2)  If you can, add memory.  Big help!

I delete my browsing history once in a while.

Click Tools, then Delete Browsing History, and click "Delete All".

My brother expands vitural memory, it made it a whole lot faster.

I don't know how you do that though. Go to www.youtube.com and type in faster computer.

NOTE: Don't go to much with the memory though, no matter what anyone says. Only go up to 1,200.

Just right click My Computer icon and get into the properties...

Select Advanced tab... Adjust the system for best perfomance instead of appearance and other stuffs....

Make sure you don't have unnecessary tray icons.

Goto Start->Run-> Type msconfig ->OK

Goto startup and uncheck the programs which you don't want to be started when your windows starts.This requires to reboot your system.

When you restart the system you get a message and check the option and close that window.

You may also go without a wallpaper.
