I designed a tour of Edinburgh using (in that case) religion as a satirical way to experience Edinburgh (www.polyfaith.com - visit it!) - but I want to do one of Glasgow now! I've just moved here and I want to know any oddities, strange signs, weird buildings, anecdotes about geography, cultural strangeness, life affirming stories, but mainly things that SHOULD be on a toruist map of Glasgow - but aren't! It may just turn into an art project!!! Chris :-) bovinelife@yahoo.com

  1. There is the only answer to this question - and it's the best one! Take a very good look at the web site below.

Nobody has fully experienced Glasgow until they have "done" the Barras. Not only is it an area selling every kind of item you can imagine but the people doing the selling are entertainment itself!  Visitors love the hype, the action and most of all the experience.

But, you should also have on your tour an evening at the very famous Kings Theatre. It was built and decorated in the 1890s and looks the same today. Quaint, with luxurious decor and balconies rising high to the ceiling.

The shows are always excellent and many of them are "Glasgow themed".  There are good restaurants near by and a wee bar lounge inside ....
