Any place can be haunted new or old city or country forests.. Yes, battlefields and places where traumatic death has accured but also many ghosts visit places they liked. Stay open and you may see ghosts in the places you least expect it.

Usually dark and/or spooky places are most likely to be haunted. This is because people will expect ghosts to be in such places, so if they expect it they are more likely to think they saw something or heard something paranormal.

Natural settings like woods seem to do it for me, although indoors is good, too. Usually I get a 'feeling' about a place before anything happens. One encounter woke me before appearing over my bed! If a place seems creepy, it may be the spirits.

Most of the haunted place are located in england and Germany those places tend to be hunted because because there has been massive murders

my theory of being haunted is that the dead person that maybe at a parallel dimension are trying to communicate with you an the only way he/she could do it is by haunting you

that is why they could only give sign an not touch you or communicate with you cleary because the maybe in another dimension

Ghosts are said to be (ex) people who do not know they are dead.  

Places where lots of people have died, suddenly, violently, or unexpectedly.  These might be battlefields, massacres, killing fields, hospitals, old asylums, prisons.  

Any place that has been occupied by people for a long time may also be a good bet (Ancient cities, etc.)

Any place people have died under awful conditions. I know of a hospital wing that is haunted because of a fire over 80 years ago that claimed the lives of many patients that couldn't be moved. Anyplace sudden or violent death takes place.

Cemetery, especially pauper or military.

Battlefields! Since childhood I've been told by children and adults alike that they have seen soldiers walk right past them.

Asylums and prisons that have been closed. Many in Ohio and New York are preserved only for ghost hunting. -What else can you do with it, they're so freaking haunted?

Always, always, always get permission or you might have someone shoot your backside with a load of salt or worse lead shot.
