Lewis Carroll, in Through the Looking Glass: "You couldn't have it if you did want it," the Queen said. 'The rule is jam tomorrow and jam yesterday -- but never jam today.' 'It must sometimes come to jam today,' Alice objected. 'No it can't,' say the Queen. 'It's jam every other day: today isn't any other day, you know.'"

  1. "Every other day" does not mean even or odd days....it means every day other than today.....because "today isn't any other day."

The logical fallacy is people assuming "every other day" means even and odd days in sequence.

  2. Yesterday & tomorrow are not today

Every other day is not two days running, so it'll never happen!
