get a HS diploma if someone will be late graduating for whatever reason(missing the cutoff, dropping out, missing too many days, or being left back at some point). In my state they let them stay in HS until they are 21.

  1. I personally look more favorably on a regular HS diploma than a GED.  Both are MUCH better than none at all.  If you can stick it out, stay in school and get the regular degree.

  2. "Looks better" to whom?  Colleges?  They don't really care.  Potential employers?  I'd say it depends on what kind of job you're looking for.  If it's something that calls for some maturity, a position with some amount of responsibility expected (not like flipping burgers), I'd say being older would help.  Potential employers after college?  They won't care how old you were when you finished high school; they'll only care that you got the degree after that.

  3. Nowadays it doesn't matter which one, unless you are trying to get into an upper tier college. Now if you are talking a college degree, then yes you will definitely need one of those to better your chances at becoming successful.

Generally the High Scool diploma looks better overall.

  4. finish school, I have a GED it's not worth the paper it's printed on
