What lovely little creatures can i expect to find in Egypt?

Question

scorpions? spiders? snakes? giant wasps?

and what are the chances of being attacked by one?

i've been told about the mozzies in places near the nile.

we are not too sure where in Egypt we are going yet.

I've just got back from a holiday in Egypt...

i was shocked to find hardly any mosquitoes (stayed in Cairo, luxor, Aswan & sharm el shiek) you get the odd mosquitoes flying around but nothing compared to other hot countries.

on my visit to the valley of the kings in luxor i was horrified when i saw GIANT wasps swarming around the tombs....omg they were huge!!

you prob also see tiny lizards on the walls of some buildings, they soooo tiny and adorable nothing to be scared of.

i stayed in egypt for ten days and apart from the few mosqitos, giant wasps and baby lizards and i didn't see much else.

In streets, you mean? These lovely creatures don't exist in streets (in cities, i mean) maybe in the Western desert (Siwa or so) you can meet some cute little scorpions, some fluffy spiders, and some sneaky snakes :)

nothin of that hun. believe me nd there is def. no scorpions , no snakes no giant wasps and no spiders (only the very ittle ones that come bec of the dirt no other reason)

Egypt is a country for God's sake it's NOT a disease infected Insect ridden country it's a bustling metropolis

But you will encounter these animals if you go into jungles or vast deserts with no cities around

@It was not meant to be directly at you but rather as a statement sorry If I ever appeared aggressive in my answer I never meant so but the what irritates me is that a lot of people ask these sorts of question that it became tedious but to answer your question it depends on where you're going for example if you're going to go on a safari you might encounter some snakes or scorpions but there aren't any "Giant" wasps you may rarely find a crocodile on the sides of the Nile far to the south, sorry if I angered you in anyway

Possibly all of the above. Plus lizards. Anything that eats the mosquitoes is good in my book, so lizards, spiders, snakes are not harmful.

But most of those things are more afraid of you than you are of them, so just step back carefully if you see one.

i've been to egypt alot of times.  usually you find dragon flies and geko's. (if dats how u spell it???lol)  they don't bite or hurt
