What low maintanence fish is compatible with a betta?

Question

I want a fish compatible with bettas. I was thinking gold fish, dwarf goroumi, or any type of minow including zebra danio.

are any of the comatible with my betta and cory.

It would depend upon the particular temperament of the Betta, but rule of thumb is no fish that look similar in body shape, and no fish with long fins. The other factor is tank size. I usually do not recommend goldfish, since they are messy and add a lot of ammonia to the water, which equals high maintenance.  Right now I have one in a 12 gal with a cory and a dwarf aquatic frog, and they seem really happy.

what size tank? is it filtered/heated?

goldfish, dwarf gouramis and zebra danios are NOT compatible with bettas. goldfish are large and messy and need entirely different water conditions, dwarf gouramis will fight with the betta and danios are very fast swimmers and will nip at and annoy the betta.

for a betta to have tankmates you need a minimum of a 10 gallon tank ideally, fully cycled, filtered and heated.
