an eye specialist told me that the previous eye doctor fitted me with the wrong size contacts. I am wondering what machines a contact lens fitter should be using to prescribe the correct contacts.

  1. A keratometer to measure the curvature of the cornea is the most common instrument used.

Then a slit lamp, or Burton lamp to see up close how the lens is actually fitting on the cornea.
