he might probably didn't mean it- just a reflex. but in fairness to amir, he might have broken that arm, too.

but weird as it may seem, had he not "tapped", he might have also slipped and got away with it.

  1. My feeling is that it was definetly a tap, but I think he did not necessarily mean to tap out. There was absolutly no reason for him to touch Amirs leg the way he did if he was trying to free himself from the armbar. He should have at least kept the hand on there for a few seconds.

I think he was trying to make amir think he was tapping in the hopes that he would turn the armbar loose, and only did it once hoping the ref wouldn't catch it. There was absolutly no other reason for him to do what he did otherwise. I would say he just tapped on instinct, but his show of "Oh poor me I didn't tap" makes me think otherwise.

I think he needs to grow up, quit being so cocky that he underestimates other fighters skills, and he my actually have a chance. I love the fact that he lost not only once, but twice, to a fighter you know from his comments that he thought didn't belong in the same ring with him

I love to see egotistical people get brought down to earth.

  2. It was a tap.

  3. It looked to me like he was trying to push the leg away, but then immediately stopped realizing that it looked like he tapped either way it was locked in  deep and he was most likely going to tap anyway. However no matter what he shouldn't protest he should be thankful to have gotten a second chance. He has a pretty good record still and hopefully learned from his mistake. It is also obvious that an arm bar is a strong component to use against him.

  4. Nothing! being a sour loser perhaps.

It's just ridiculous when some one loses then put up a stupid show of denial!!

He lost, fair and square. It was either tap or get his arm broken.

We all saw that. It was so tight more so, when Amir did adjust his grip the second time. There was no way CB could get out of it.

I loved it. When self-assertive ones get smacked around like that!

ADD: no ''room mate'', i do not believe he could get away with that arm bar. That was really tight one.

How irronic, Im watching it right now!!

  5. He tapped. NO DOUBT about it. He was weak to put up a front afterwards, but he clearly stopped trying to pull his arm out to tap. The tapes don't lie! He didn't get cheated, he lost!

  6. It looked to me like a sort of hesitation that was interpreted as a tap. But that's the game and the refs are there to make sure no one gets seriously injured, not to say, "I wonder if he's really tapping?"  He tapped whether he consciously wanted to or not.

CB's instinct said "TAP" and his head said "Don't you dare tap!" Guess his instincts won that dispute.

He's got talent so we'll see him again. Maybe next time he'll be able to overcome the instinct to tap and fight thru it.

  7. yes he tapped and he has no reason to protest he lose twice to the same hold he's a bad loser but still a loser

  8. He probably didn't mean to. Heck, he probably didn't notice. Thats why you have to be careful of your hand positioning and movement. Sounds weird but its true.

  9. he did tap and got what his cocky-maniac being deserved.

  10. He said in an interview after the fight that he tapped and Amir won fair and square.
