What made more money, harry potter or twilight?

they are both really good, harry potter is better, in my opinion, but i was just wondering which one did better.

well harry potter is slowing down with people buying the books and twilight is still going at it like people are still buying books allll the time for twilight and we will have to wait and see after the movie

Well, the Twilight series has sold about 8 million books total, the 7th Harry Potter book sold over 11 million books in the first 24 hours it was out & over 400 million total.  Don't get me wrong, I've read all books in both series and loved them both, but technically, Harry Potter has made a ton more money.  Don't know if Twilight will ever catch up, but they are still huge!

Well, Twilight is very popular, but just starting out. Harry Potter made Jo richer than the Queen of England--literally!

its kinda an unfair comparison. harry potter has more books and has been out longer than twilight.

but both have good numbers and were/are on the usa today bestseller list.

well harry potter made more money all together considering there are 7 books to twilights 4 but im not sure which individual book made more money. i do no that twilight or eclipse (not sure which...) passed harry potter on the best seller list.

im anxious to see which does better in the theaters.

Harry Potter. One single HP book sold more than the whole HP series and twilight will never earn as much. Worldwide, HP has sold over 400 million copies.
