What made the 2008 NBA finals soooo entertaining?

Lol, The two best teams in the league bouncing back after getting ridiculous deals and trades.  The Lakers got Pau Gasol in exchange for a pair of shoes, and I still can't understand how the Celtics managed to get KG, Ray Allen, James Posey, Rajon Rondo, Sam Cassell....the list goes on forever.

But, I think the real magic was the fact that you never knew what to expect.  Random players were the heroes of some games, while other games featured the Celtics coming back from like 24 down in L.A. to win.  That was incredible.

The star power was the best though.  You had Kobe, Pau, and Odom (I wish I could put Bynum in here) against K.G., Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce.  But in the end, the Celtics were just the better team with the better bench and the better "coaching," not coach lol.

I have these explanations for the success of the 2008 NBA Finals which are:

1. Both teams storied rivalry.

2. The drama: Paul Pierce getting injured coming back hitting lots of shots, The Lakers almost catching up with Boston after the Celts build up a 20 point + lead, The Lakers making it 2-1, The Lakers blowing their own version of 20+ lead, Lakers coming back again... Well game 6 is but a monumental stamp.

3. Both are heavy favorites from both conferences to win it all.

4. Of course fans really are anticipating great games from the league's premiere superstars, Bryant, Garnett, Allen, Pierce and Gasol.
