The worst presidents in American History were Wilson and Johnson.  Carter was too incompetent to be a worst, and his ridiculous behavior as an ex-president has made Clinton seem statesmanlike by comparison.  Bush will be vindicated by history rather like Truman--and just like Truman, I reckon him a failure despite the hard choices he's made.

You obviously were not around under Carters reign. He brought double digit inflation,the unemployment rate was 3 points higher than is is now,he had no foreign policy (which led to Iran taking dozens of American citizens hostage and holding them for 444 days) gas lines were implemented to ration gasoline and he made Nixon look like a genius. The President (Bush) has kept the US safe from radical terrorists for the last 7 1/2 years. There is no comparison!

Your premise is totally false.  Just because someone says a president was "worst in American history", doesn't make it so.  What are your criteria for the ratings?
