What made this noise in my backyard last night?

it sounded a little like an owl or some bird, but it made a sound like a baby crying or cooing or something. sort of like ooh ooh ooh ooooh, ah! ah! ah! ah! and kept repeating like that. it was really loud and my cats were going crazy lol

ohh ohh ah ah are monkeys. but it was probably a cat. same thing happened to me i thought it was a baby crying and it was a cat. so i think it was a cat.

could it have been a mourning dove? they do make those sounds.

We had a mockingbird in my front yard and it oddly came out at night. We also have two owls around and it would mock them and make a whole variety of funny noises. It even mocked my moms cough. Which made me laugh, then it mocked that too...
