  1. Anything dude, there's no knowledge that can take away from what you already know.

  2. sociology,

  3. I minored (almost double majored) in history.  The history electives I took were all cultural history classes, such as modern Africa.  Knowing the background of a region really helps in understanding why a culture is the way it is.  Another good one is philosophy.  I'm currently working on a MS in applied anthropology and I'm taking a couple of electives in the philosophy department and it's helping a great deal.  Philosophy's also good since so much of anthropology's early theories and methods were lifted directly from social philosophers.

  4. A minor in science; any science!!!

  5. depends on what you are interested in and what subfield of anthropology you most want to go into. i would suggest biology, geology, history, linguistics, classics would all compliment anthropology.

  6. geology, reading the dirt

  7. International relations, Journalism, a second language, Art history? Pretty much anything! Primatology would be really important if you wanted to travel to different sites studying biological anthro and non-human primates. Thats what Im hoping to go to grad school for.

  8. Definitely Sociology!

  9. I'm getting a Bio anthropology and Biology double major.

    idk..what are you into?

hmm A minor in history does sound nice. Sociology would too.

  10. FORENISIC ANTHROPOLOGY, SOCIOLOGY, GEOLOGY

  11. Try a research major since these two can be very powerful in combination - also consider psychology

  12. Try for a sociology degree

  13. Any social science major.

  14. What do you want to do with your degree?

If you want to teach high school the answer is a hard science: bio/chem/physics.  That will allow you to get a job!  History/political science will allow you to get a teaching certificate, but NOT a good job.

  15. Political science or archaeology

  16. I am double majoring in political science and anthropology with focuses on international relations and cultural anthropology respectively.

I think it would be beneficial if you learn some foreign languages, especially if you have an area of focus. Political science with anthropology would be very beneficial to your career development. For instance, you can work for major think tanks or government agencies.

  17. It will depend upon what you want to study as an anthropologist.  Keep in mind, however, that the more technical training you receive, the more competitive you will be in the job market.

So, a useful example might be to study GIS (Geographic Information Systems), which is proving to be a very useful skill to have nowadays.

    Good luck.

  18. What about criminal justice or forensics?  You could be a forensic anthropologist.

If that's not your cup of tea, what about sociology, or something along those lines?
