What major is recommended to pursue a career in dentistry?

I would like to know what major would be the best to have to prepare me for dental school?

Any recommendations on which courses I should take would also be appreciated.

I remember IUPUI (Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis) having an actual "Pre-dent" program. I think you either have to do that or Pre-Med.

And I would suggest lots of biology, chemistry, math, etc.
