What major should I choose? regards with creating organism?

I am choosing a field of study under undergraduate programme. I would like to create an plant organism which involves all kinds of artificial mutation of the dna. What phrase is most suitable for my kind of major and which university is best for the kind of course?

I knew they are biotech, is there a more specific word?

As an undergrad you won't be doing anything nearly as exciting as creating new organisms.

You would need to start with the basics like getting a BS in botany, plant biology, horticulture, genetics, or something similar.

Try looking for "Mad science". Failing that, anything that involves lots and lots of radiation.
