What major should I pick out of these two?

What major would pick here if you were me?

Please help me choose major and just think as you are choosing your own major? Thank you so much.?

What major should I go with here?

Can you help me with my major?

Should I do Biomedical Engineering?

1) I am doing Biomedical Engineering, but If I add 5 chemistry classes then i can do double major, Biomedical Engineering and Biochemical Engineering?

2) If I add 5 other class, then I can do double major, Biomedical engineering and Neuroscience.

Which one should I do, number 1 or 2 from above? To be honest, basically tell me where is the money 1 or 2?

Should I do Biochemical Engineering or Neuroscience?

I am thinking of neuroscience, because I want to go to medical school. For Ph. D for Neuroscience, I have to go to medical school, right?

But, Either way I am passionate to study. What would you do if you were me?

I actually like both and it is hard to figure out, so please help me with your ideas and experience, if available.

  1. Sounds way out of my league but neuroscience sounds like a good place to start as they are making many advances in that area.

  2. If you want a PhD, you need to go to graduate school and be accepted into a doctorate program. You would go to med school if you wanted your MD.

What I would do, is figure out what you want to do after you get out of school...and then use that to determine what additional major would help you best to achieve that end.

    Good luck! :]

  3. When I think I am undecided about something I flip a coin and while it's in the air I would find myself rooting for one side to land.  All you need is  a coin.

  4. The above listed fields are quite different. Either you would become an engineer or doctor. In general, the pay is greater being a physician. Neuroscience would be more of a specialty once accepted to, and in medical school and in your residency. For now, I suggest taking Biology as a major and chemistry as a minor, or double major. This will allow you time to take classes applicable to both options. However, do not wait long to choose. Perhaps spend a day with a neurologist and an eningeer, the college may be able to arrange that for you. Good Luck. (Pick med school)

  5. You don't have to go to medical school to get your Ph. D....you go to graduate school.

The money is in the medical field...period. But if you want a solid answer, I would say #2.

Why do you think you have to double-major, anyway? You should focus on one area, make the best grades possible, and learn everything you can about that subject.

Your knowledge in a certain area is what's going to get you the good job, not trying to major in every tough subject you can think of.

  6. i think u jsut answered ur own question. if u want to go into medical school, go for the neuroscience. ud be surprised how many people go into bioengineerin bc of medical school. as for the money, id think the engineerin would make more money in the short run. neuroscinece will usually take a while since ur goin to medical school

  7. probably more money in 1, but spend some time researching what is being done in different fields/jobs and see where your interests lie. with good grades and mcat/gre school you can go to a good med school/grad school no matter which of these two choices you choose
