Question:

What major should I take to design automobiles (mechanically not externally, if that makes sense!)?

I would really love to design engines and transmissions and such, and then possibly get to work on prototypes and such. I know its kind of a long shot but I think I can do it!

So what major should I take to do that?

Also another quick question... My dad wants me to work where he works at GE Health Care as an engineer designing ultrasound machines and such. I'd be ok with that, and he said that I would get a starting salary over $100k!

What major would I have to take for that?
