What make Kumon special than other tutoring?

Kumon isn't really tutoring. Its a different way of learning math. My kids both did Kumon for several years and it really helped them master the basics. You learn to work quickly, accurately, and retain the skills. They start you out at a low level, so the child feels successful. The problems get gradually harder and more complex - slow enough that the kids dont even usually realize it. They will help the kids if they need help. They do give homework for every day, but it only takes about 15 minutes until you get to the very advanced levels. Its all about repetition and becoming confident and comfortable. I really feel like Kumon is worth the time and money - my kids are both wonderful at math!
