those big factories with black smoke coming out of the top, us when we burn fossil fuels like coal, car, lorries, trains which run on diseal and especially aeroplanes and many more, its hard to name everything because there are lots of things! (air pollution is also one of the reasons of global warming, thats why we have trains and some new cars which run on electricity).

Whenever you burn fuel whether it be gas, oil coal, or wood, there is a reaction that releases byproducts. Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur compounds and other trace chemicals are released into the air. Any of these things in large amounts are damaging to the environment.
