We learn from our mistakes which makes us better and more confident or we learn from our mistakes that we can't do anything right and shoot our selves in the head. (Don't attempt to do the latter-not good.)

It's a state of mind for one.  Self image is another.  One can confidence success by merely acting confident because others will buy into this facade; But without a positive self-image, one can only go so far in keeping this success which will eventually result in failure.

Having a positive self image and firmly believing that you can achieve a goal is the best thing there is to reach success..
