What make you so certain you can stop Global Warming?

It appears to me that Mankind is not looking at this issue in a practical way, and is instead just kidding each other into thinking they can fix it with - turning off power plants, changing cars, switching off lights etc.

What are the chances that we will do enough to stop the warming from continuing? One in a Million? We will need a miracle, because what is being done so far is nowhere near enough and I wish people would stop being so 'upbeat' about it! Don't you see that your upbeat attitude is a form of fooling yourselves into thinking you are making progress and later when things get worst many people will feeling that they have been lead to believe a lie; and will most likely become very bitter.

More practical measures need to be talked about. What to do if we can't stop this thing. What is Plan B! Because I feel Plan A does not have a Snow-flakes chance in h**l, at this stage.

Global Warming ?  Will it happen soon!  - its been the longest nastiest coldest winter I can remember!  When does this kick in!   Im ready for warmth!

Folks have to be pretty full of themselves to believe that they can 'stop' warming..... OR cooling...... both of which have occured WITHOUT man over and over again for millenia. This is just another 'cause' where so-called 'well-meaning' experts are climbing onto the popular bandwagon (while conveniently turning a blind eye to flawed data and irresponsible 'science'.  ANYONE who suggests that there are no financial rewards for sucking up to this 'Religion' is either naive beyond belief or attempting to mis-guide/deceive our citizens.

These so-called scientists who make up the so-called 'consensus' may not make the $$Millions that Gore is, but they will keep their jobs, win more grant money and avoid the ridicule of those who are paranoid about anyone not agreeing with their baseless theories.

Too many "man-did-it" cultists have argued themselves into a corner..... and are unable/unwilling to swallow their pride and admit they were scammed.  Understandably, admitting that you were hoodwinked is a tough thing to do.

As time goes by, the AGW cause is being exposed as a fraud and the ever-decreasing following will disappear quietly and wait for the next 'cause industry' to raise its ugly head.

I think this whole alarmists man made global warming is just a bunch of sensationalist c**p. Just more ways for the government to micro manage our lives and give us added taxes. Plus it panders to special interest groups and voting blocks. Like all the subsidies inefficient alternative energy companies are receiving from the government. Plus it's a way to redistribute wealth, aka socialism. And CO2 is being used as a selling commodity, where businesses buy offset credits from another company to plant trees, in order to lower their carbon footprint, so as to avoid taxes and penalties from the government..

It's all a scam! It's a naturally occuring cycle, even Mars is experiencing it, which points to the sun as the culprit. The planet has been much warmer than now, all life seemed to survive and flourish then, so will we.

Human effect on global warming is only 1 of the top 10 things to affect our planets temperature (its not even in the top 5).  The fact is we are coming out of a ice age and even if no human existed our planet would still heat up and the cute little polar bears and penguins would still be forced to adapt.  That being said, if you don't think you have an effect on the environment stand a distance away from any city in China and you will see a nice yellow haze over the city.  This by the way is not good for humans or any living animal, this is why we should be selective on what we do and how we do it.  

PS. I tried to include a graph that shows the mean temp of the earth over the last 600 million years and you will see that we are at close to the lowest temperatures that the earth has seen since the dawn of life on this planet.  So to answer your question.... don't worry about a plan B even if we turned off all the power and never drive another vehicle you are still going to have to get used to higher temperatures, so buy yourself some shorts and start working out during the hotest part of the day.  This will aclimatize you to the higher temperatures.

There is nothing that the human race can do to stop or slow global warming, it is a cycle.  So unless someone out there can figure out a way to move the planet away from the sun and cap off all of the volcanoes, enjoy the warmth while it lasts, cause next up is the next ice age...

We didn't start it, we can't stop it.  We simply don't have the ability to regulate the energy output of the sun.  Perhaps in another million years we'll have that figured out and we can stop whatever climate cycle we don't want to take place then..

I cant stop global warming, but WE can. If everyone on this planet cared, and changed their lives to help our planet, thats when we would stop global warming.

The fact that the National Academy of Scinece, 1800 of the countries best scientists (who are elected by their peers) says so.  By the way, very few of them get any funding for global warming.

And the vast majority of scientists around the world agree.

We can't stop it altogether, but we can reduce it enough to avoid the worst effects.

And if you think most all scientists are stupid or dishonest about this, you've lost any credibility with me.
