What makes AFL so great?

what makes Australians come back again and again to watch AFL football?

For me, its something I don't get to watch too often, and it is very different from the sports I normally watch.

there is always something going on the field

and its a true blue Aussie sport

What makes AFL so great.  The spectators have something to follow all match.  The team's become a passion not just a team you follow on the weekends.

Plus, there is no cricket in winter so we need to follow something!

More physical than Basketball and soccer.

360 dimensional play compared to rugby where they just run forward.

Strength and speed required (e.g. blokes with massive muscles that run fast not just fat b@stards in rugby).

High flying marks.

Keeps moving fast and not stop start.

The people do from light hearted rivalry between supporters and their side ,the tipping competition that brings out once again  the rivalry some are so serious some do it for fun, the atmosphere whether you are at the pub, at home with mates watching or at the game.

Its a game that all the family can enjoy and I think we are very proud that is our home grown game.
