Obama, first black president of Harvard Law Review. Graduated at the top of his class at Harvard. Went to help poor people in Chicago when he could have easily gotten a 6 figure job at a big law firm. Spent years as a state senator, years as a constitutional professor at Chicago University, and is a United States senator who has dealt with foreign policy issues and nuclear diasarment.

Palin was mayor of a town for 8,000. They than made her governor of one of the states with the least population and it's only been for less than two years.

Barack Obama was a community organizer for years before getting into politics. He served in the Illinois state Senate for eight years and then served as a US Senator for four years. That's twelve years in an elected office. George W. Bush? He was Governor of Texas for just SIX years before he ran for President. Sarah Palin was Mayor for six years and a governor for a year and a half. That's at most seven and a half unimpressive years of experience in ALASKA of all places. Alaska's population is about 700,000. Illinois' population 12,852,548, 5th largest in the US. Barack Obama's got MORE experience than George W. had. AND Abraham Lincoln was only a Congressman for two years, was away from politics for a few years and then ran for President.

Sarah Palin was the mayor of Wasilla, AK with a population of 7,000 and most likely, very few minorities. She belonged to an organization that actually wanted Alaska to secede from the US. After she was mayor of that small town, she became governor of Alaska for a whopping 1 and 1/2 years. She has NO foreign policy experience, NO concept of what's going on in Iraq, NO concept of what's best for America because the vast majority of Americans believe in Roe v. Wade, whereas Palin would make all abortions illegal, even in the cases of rape, incest or if the mother's life was at stake. She's completely unqualified for the position and out of touch with the needs/ wants of the American people.

LOL.  I have really pisssed you off haven't I  !!   As governor/mayor for 20 + months Palin has had to do little more than sigh checks to pay the bills for state/municipal government.   70%-80% of all state/municipal budgets pay contractual obligations mostly for employee salary & benefits.  Governors have little discretionary spending power and this notion of "executive experience" is laughably over rated.
