  1. What makes Sabathia so devastating, aside from the intimidation factor, is his ability to change speeds effectively after introducing a fastball that reaches the high 90s. He can also work himself out of jams.

  2. Hes in the NL. Pitchers just dominate there. Compare his AL to NL stats.

  3. C.C (can connect)- meaning he's a h**l of a hitter(parents named him C.C at age 17 because he was a very good hitter on his high school team) Sabathia is a spectacular pitcher because he has a hard fastball that he can locate and a respectable change-up that he can throw to go with his hard FB. But his main weapon is his fastball reaching mid to high 90's. Plus the fact that he can locate it, its dangerous for hitters in a 0-2,1-2,2-2 count because he can throw high, low, middle in/out,and low and out-side. Not to mention C.C's slider and curveball that he gets batters out with. All his pitches are very good but most importantly it gets the job done (Wins'). C.C is my favorite pitcher in the majors. He throws hard for a lefty and he's very accurate for a lefty.

  4. He's got alot of gut... I mean guts.

  5. 6 ft 7

    Sick Fastball

    Height over players

Strike out one, strike out ten more

  6. Stuff

    Size

    Athleticism

  7. Right now he is putting the ball where batters cannot hit it as shown by his 1 hitter where the only hit was a "checked bat" infield hit by a totally confused batter where the batter would have never touched that pitch unless he held up his swing and accidentally had his bat touch CC's pitch.

It is usually a game to game thing, but it seems when a pitcher has his best stuff, the batters just cannot lay any wood on a pitch which was the zone in which CC was in on his recent 1 hitter.

  8. Stuff

    Guts

    Intimidating size

    Scary faces

  9. He's been phenomenal with the Brewers. I don't think he's lost a game with them yet. Won something probably around 11 games or so in a row with them.

  10. Great surroundings.  The Brewers really want to win every game.

  11. Another couple of things with him now being in the NL.  One is that the hitters don't know him well as far as any patterns or tendencies.  The other is that he is getting to pitch to a pitcher more often in each game than any pinch hitter or DH.  The idea of there being a cheap "out" in the lineup has to be beneficial for him as compared to every AL lineup he was facing where they could insert a slugger or hired professional hitter into that spot.

  12. He throws strikes and gets ahead in the count. Those are the building blocks of a successful pitcher.
