  1. yes i have to say i am in agreement.

we also had one of the first female president of the country which is quite an achievement

  2. I guess that is one part of it. Since the €uro came out everything has got so d**n expensive.

  3. It's the spirit of the Irish people that makes them stand out far above other races/nationalities. The past 800 years have molded this race into a tough, adaptable, surviving team. The Irish have withstood persecution that would have crushed most other races. At times we were almost totally eradicated by oppressors, yet we reached deep within our souls and found the steel to go beyond all expectations (to the dismay of our "masters").

That spirit is what makes an Irish man or woman anywhere in the world move to the head of the line in commerce, literature, or diplomacy. Yes, we'll knock your head off in a fight, but we'll also help you out of any trouble you may be in the next day. We are the only race in the history of mankind who has not tried to subjugate another. Yet we are one of the most ill treated races in history.

That dichotomy defines our mettle. Nonagressive, unyielding, battered but not bitter, Ireland is unique among the nations of the world.

    God bless Ireland - forever!

  4. It's the people. Most are friendly, work hard, pay taxes, stable economy, good healthcare(free at least), excellent education, good infrastructure, savage rugby teams!

    What more can i say!
