What makes Kevlar So Light?

I don't understand, how Kevlar can be so light and at the same time so strong. I sort of came to the feeling that it was the structure of the kevlar but it doesn't make sense. Websites are helpful!

The true formula may be somewhere on the web, but it is like fiberglass

It's because Kevlar fibers are very long and very strong, so a simply cross-hatch weave will be exceptionally strong under tension.
