Cypriots, Maltese and Sicilians on the other hand are European. I dont see why you felt the need to include them in this question.

Sicilians (Italian) Cypriots(Greek) are European and of Greek and Roman descent= European descent.

They have nothing to do with Arabs. They are all modern EU countries of European origins, Sicily is part of Italy, its not a country. Only Sicily was conquered by Arabs for a few centuries. Sicilians are Italian, they are not Arabs or neither do they look like them or share anything in common with them. If you think Sicilians are Arabs so you would also think that Italians are Arab since Sicilians are Italian.  Italians are Cacausian of European stock, they are not Semetic, they have Cacausian features and bone structures.

Cyprus was never invaded by Arabs!!!

The only 3 main invasions of Cyprus were : Roman, British, Turkish. -l dont see any Arabs there!  There has never been an Arab influence in Cyprus for the 3,000 year long, island's history.

80% of Cypriots are Greek and 18% are Turkish, 2 % British.  Southern Cyprus is a Greek province and Northern Cyprus is a Turkish one.

Maltese are mostly Cacausian of Sicasian origin, a group similar to Italians and other Southern Europeans. They speak Maltese, which is a mix of Semetic and Italian.

What makes Lebanese Arabs is the fact that Arabs invaded Lebanon like the rest of the Middle East 1,400 years ago, Lebanese are no different than the rest of the Middle Easterners that also got invaded.

And before anyone tries to pull out that "Phoenician line" Bear in mind that the ancient  Phoenicians were of semetic origin just like the Arabs. So either way, they were both Semetic peoples.

Edit:  Michael S is an example of another ignorant Lebanese who denys being an Arab. If you think you are not Arab then move out of the  Middle East then, stop speaking Arabic, eating Arabic food, listening to Arab music and going to Arab schools. Seriously ... how pathetic ? By the way skin color has nothing to do with ethnicity. Its all about bone structures, facial features, eye shapes.. etc. how do you think athropologists distinguish ethnicities other than DNA tests? Have you ever seen a half black half white person? They look NOTHING like a European person. And just for your information, Southern Europeans are much lighter in skin color than Lebanese, just google : Biasutti skin color map, and see for yourself. French, Greeks, Spaniards and Italians are all Southern Europeans they look nothing like Arabs. Maybe some of them do, but the majority looks European. Just like the majority of Lebanese looks Arabic or Semetic.

1..Lebanon is an ARAB country....(that none can denie it)

2..Although that, the roots of Lebanon,its heritage is not ARAB.

That 2 things are different.

Lebanon is an ARAB country bcoz it shares a language, culture, many uses, and one of the main religions with arab world.

But that things dont mean that lebanese pple are arabs.Some lebaneses share ethnicity and genealogy with another arab countries....but not all. If we technically take the word ARAB......and go to the origins.......it's said about the 12 tribes in the desert and that in our days is Saudi Arabia territory....pple from Yemen and from the Gulf area. They  are the real Arab pple.

Anyways.it's a long and difficult thing to understand, but Phoenicians were the "parents" of the lebanese pple. Nowadays...........lebaneses are arabs as community.....but above all, many Christians dont feel themselves as arabs.

I dont feel myself arab........as I dont feel myself european... I'M NOT ARAB...... I'M NOT EUROPEAN !!!!!!!!!!!

So...... lebaneses are ARABS bcoz of the culture, and linguistic ...but not bcoz of the origin.

We Lebanese are NOT and NEVER will be Arabs. The Christians have nothing to do with Arabs and most of the Muslims are descendents of Phoenicians who converted to Islam under Ottoman oppression. It took a couple of Arabs to enter Lebanon and change it, it wasn't that big of an invasion.

Compare us. We're as light skinned as Southern Europeans and no where near as dark as a Saudi or Yemeni (those people are Arabs). We're NOT Arab. I don't care if we're Semetic or not, just know that we are not Arabs.

Also, for your information, Caucasian isn't limited to Europe. Caucasian people come from Europe, The Middle East, parts of Central Asia, and Northern Africa. We're ALL part of the Caucasian race. Semetic, Arab, European, whatever, all of them are White.
