Yehia has a special charisma, the audience can easily beleive him, his acting is natural and he chooses roles well suited for his age and physique. People can easily relate to him his like yr uncle or yr neighbor or friend.

The rest is a gift from Allah swt and its unexplainable.

You know what? I've always thought the same. Why is he so special? Why do many people like him, and make sure to watch his works?

Well, I guess it's because he is a good actor and picks the right social problems for his works.

It is not necessary to be handsome to be a good actor. What really matters is facial expression and particularly the eyes, and I think he has that to a great extent. Like the late Ahmad Zaki, he can say a great deal with his eyes without uttering a single word. That, and of course as hope said he has a special charisma, that "it" thing that some people have and others don't.
