What makes a Daylight CFL bulb Daylight?

I am looking to move a couple of my planted trees inside for the winter months and am looking to give them some extra light by adding a Daylight CFL bulb to my lamps. I already have 23W which replaced my 100W regular bulbs. These give off 1600 lumens. I have noticed the daylight bulbs have 1470 lumens. So whats the difference? Thanks

  1. Compact fluorescent light bulb models with the Daylight color temperature from 5000K to 6350K.  The most common color temperature is 2700K or Soft White (also referred to as Warm White).

    Daylight bulbs are preferred in many applications because the light they output makes items illuminated appear as they would when illuminated by sun light.  Daylight bulbs are often preferred for photography,  painting,  or other tasks that require a true color representation of the objects being illuminated.  They are also great for helping reduce the effects of Seasonal Disorder disease since they give the effect of summer time sun light.
