  1. Legally, a passport. If you are in possession of that, you are acknowledged as a citizen belonging to that country as it is an official government document that certifies one's identity and citizenship and permits a citizen to travel abroad.

You can pledge allegiance to another country or to its monarchs, or even kill for a country and it's belief but it still won't make you a citizen without a passport.

  2. Take an oath of allegiance to another country.

  3. The lack of a king or queen, who have 'subjects'.

    Also, procreation.

  4. A person who is willing to kill those from his or her country of origin in order to protect a Christian based government with Christian values and an belief in individual freedom.
