  1. ever herd or changing the fuel filter? check fuel pressure? Coils almost never go bad. most time if a coil goes bad it's because the owner crossed up jumpercables, or tampered with the wiring. Leaving the key on does mot damage the coil. Thats old school stuff from the 1960's. Oh ya m crossing up jumper cables never damages the actual coil, most times its the computer thats fried. Transistors do not take reverse polarity well.

  2. Not sure.  If it were the original it might've been due.

  3. Its not good to leave your key turned foward, as to listen to the radio. It keeps constant power to the coil and burns it up.

  4. if they are in a place on the engine, it might get too hot there.

  5. question is fuzzy, KIA has individual coils on each cylinder.  what's the problem.

  6. The coil circuit includes a large resistor that is mounted to the firewall. If the resistor shorts out, it will zap your coil.
