What makes a dirt jump mountain bike?

i have just bought a challenge sceptre 26inch mountain bike and was wondering if i could use it on a bmx dirt jump/track.

if you dont know the bike could you tell me what makes a dirt jump mountain bike (please explain clearly i dont know alot about bikes thankyou)

eg. needs both brakes, needs ##inch wheels

all the parts to it such as the fork. For dirt jumping companies make certain shocks. Also little stuff such as the tires the gears the suspension the rims and the frame. It should also be pretty light but very strong. And good suspension.

yeah you can probably jump with it. Depends on how good u are. Jk

thats one of those wallyworld bike that will be destroyed within minutes of jumping (maybe even seconds).

It has the basic components that you would want on a dirt jumping bike like 26" wheels, suspension (really only want that on the fork) and that's where it ends. Everything is of low quality on this bike and is bound to break quickly and without warning. Save yourself a trip to the hospital and Don't Dirt Jump!
