What makes a good fan?

Just thought I'd here from you guys.

Personally, I think a good fan is one who sticks with their team through thick and thin as well as being able to be happy for and appreciating their 'enemy' team. ie: Yankees fan applauding the Red Sox on their recent victories.

you are right that is the definition of a good fan.whether your team is 50 games over .500 or 50 games under stand by your team. Go rangers !!!

some1 who will go to the games when the team is 50 games over OR UNDER .500. also never applaud the enemy. im a yankee fan so i know. i have never applauded the red sox EVER!!!! does that make me a bad fan? i hope not. i can name almost every player that was on the team in my lifetime.

I agree, a fan who sticks w/ their team through the ups and downs and doesn't jump on the bandwagon because a team is doing well.

Well yes, I agree on the sticking through thick and thing. I was such a huge fan of the bad boys (Pistons) that I haven't followed NBA since they broke them up.

I think a fan has to support their team if at all possible ,too. Go to the game and be a PART of it. Cheering them on. I tried to support our local Starzz team here (women's basketball) , by going to the games  and dragging my friends to the games, etc. But, there was not enough support so they were traded.

I think you have to not be a fair-weather fan, go to the games,and be active at the games.

That said , I always give credit where it's due...I'm an mma fan, and 1 of my favorite fighters went through a bad spell, I did stick with him ,and got really really pissed when he was beat with his own weapon..however I had to give credit to the guy that did it...

It's someone who loves their team, but respects other teams...

They care deeply about the players.

They don't care how bad the team is sucking; they're still their team.  In my book, any person who roots for one or two teams and doesn't jump on the bandwagon is a true fan... (i.e. I couldn't find a Marlins or Tampa Bay fan anywhere before this season.)

A good fan is just having fun enjoying the game. nothing needs to be speical or done to make a good fan.

My definition of a good fan is someone who is very loyal and supportive to there team.  Someone who always watches their team and sticks with them no matter what kind of season they have.
