  1. a good friend is one who knows when to listen and when to talk.

  2. one never sees the importance of listening if he /she does not talk at all.

communication is always a two-way process. we have the sender and receiver but it will not be called as communication if there is no interaction between the two.

try to imaging you keep on talking while your friend doesn't even give a d**n - no nods, smile not even a look at you.

both are necessary. sometimes, when we try to unburden ourselves by sharing our problems, the more it gets frustrating if our friend doesn't show any interest at all in what we're saying.

  3. A good listener will always make the better friend.

  4. both...

a good friend should be understanding...

  5. Depends on your mood.

If you want a friend who would listen to your woes,  the listener would come in handy.

If on the other hand, you feel you want to laugh, and need to hear funny stories, the talker would be great to have beside you.

So better for you to have both types.   Or, best would be someone who can be both.

  6. a good listener.. =]

  7. A listener is definitely a good friend.  A listener tends to hear and understand most of what you're talking about.  A listener will make good contribution to an intelligent conversation.  A listener will know when to ask for clarification.  And when giving advise most of the times gives good  and relevant advise.

A quiet person is not necessarily a good listener.  However all listeners are relatively quiet.

  8. Both ofcourse.. It is not fair the other one only listening and i am a talker.. it should be give and take, if my friend have a story to tell i should listen her story and if i have some interesting topic to share she'll also listen.
