  1. In sealed enclosures the only thing that affects the sound is the size.

In ported boxes the size, port area and tuning frequency all play a part in the overall sound of the box.

For 2 P1s, you could go either way. Though you might get a slight peak around the tuning frequency if you go with a ported enclosure.

  2. I have two kicker 12's 1200 watts a piece. and a 1200 watt kicker amp. When i bridge it, it hits hard. I get complaints. ha

Butt you could mount your speakers into a box. Drill nice size holes in the back of the speaker box so you could get some air in there. So they don't blow. Makes them hit alot harder to. But i got plexy glass in front of mine. They look nice.  But when you put them in your trunk. I have always noticed people put there speakers out towards there trunk. I face mine towards my seat. That makes it sound alot better also.

You could always go get you a little 400 watt amp and bridge it up to 800 watts. I bet that would make your stereo sound sweet.
