What would make a great boss? Have you had a great boss? What makes them great to you? Sure, what the job is would determine what kind of person would be best at managing or running it. But I'm asking more on a personal level, dealing with employee and coworker interaction.

Someone who uses influence rather than authority, who coaches the sub ordinates to perform in write manner, instead of telling them they are wrong. 2. I think a person who is open-minded makes a great boss. Also someone who can be a good leader, role-model, flexible, confident, good public speaker and treats their clients with respect.

  3. One's ATTITUDE matters a lot. Secondly, should not try to boss over his/her subordinates. Be friendly...

Accept  all ur subordinate suggestions irrespective to how good or bad there are. Later justify them...y that was rejected nor accepted...Instead of rejecting while they begin to speak.

Identify and appreciate every small work that your team member does. This shows the commitment you have towards the team. Thus builds a very healthy and straight forward relationship b/w you and the team members.

    All the Best!!!! Good Luck

  4. I had the best boss of my life a few years ago. I think what made her so great was she really understood where I was coming from with my scheduling issues (I need every second weekend off to visit my father) because she, too, had divorced parents. She was also a lot of fun to be around, but kept us on track. I was never uncomfortable questioning any aspect of job, or even requesting a raise. But I think the best part about her was that we had fun. She loved to pull harmless little pranks on all of the staff, yet she still knew when to stop and pull the reins back on her staff at the same time.

    Hope this helped!
