What is a m*******t? Are there different levels of masochists? That is to say, masochists enjoy pain right? Can it be so that each m*******t has their own level of pain they can meet before discomfort? Or does a m*******t have to enjoy ALL pain?

Are people born a m*******t or do they become them? Can one learn to become a m*******t? Say.. to protect themselves from pain by learning to enjoy it?

Also, is there anything wrong with being a m*******t? They're not considered crazy are they? Just asking..

  1. Masochism is a psychosexual disorder in which an individual achieves erotic release by being subjected to pain or humiliation. The term is derived from the name of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, a 19th-century Austrian novelist who wrote extensively about the sexual enjoyment he derived from verbal and physical abuse. The amount of pain involved can vary; it is usually sought out and to some degree controlled by the m*******t. Masochistic and sadistic traits often occur in the same individual.

An individual who has this disorder does not enjoy all sorts of pain, only the specific types that give them sexual pleasure. It is believed that the tendency starts in childhood. If a person does not have the tendency, it is unlikely that he or she can be "trained" to be a genuine m*******t.

Masochists are not considered "crazy", but the deliberate seeking out of pain is considered psychologically abnormal. Some people believe that mild masochistic behaviors are not harmful, but if they become more severe, or cause physical or psychological damage, of course it is harmful.
