  1. Well, theres a novel thats romantic, and one thats dirty.

One that dirty, people are cursin and doin it in olike evry chapter.

One thats p**n like is all descriptive and happens a lot...yeah....ummm heres a site below that i looked up lol these are dirty. They make my skin crawl like blahhhhhhhh ewwwww

  2. Basically anything with sexual related mentions or sayings. Theres levels on how mature it is, its actually pretty easy to tell if its p**n or not. The swears, graphic stuff etc. Hope this helps.

  3. It's porno if there's descriptive sexual content in it.  If it's just kissing, it's not p**n.  If it's further than that and very detailed, it's most likely porno material.

  4. I understand what you mean, but "dirty" and "pornographic" sounds like bad quality to me. The excellent "Lolita" for example was a scandal but it contains no graphic descriptions at all. I wouldn´t even call a sexually graphic but high-quality novel "pornographic".

  5. For a work to be pornographic it must contain explicit sexual content with the goal of arousing it's audience.  s*x will be the primary subject of the work.

A book that merely contains sexual content and/or imagery is not pornographic because of that.  There are countless examples of highly regarded literature that contain s*x and often times graphic depictions of s*x but it serves the purpose of exploring human nature, advancing the plot line, building contrast, etc. Written works that have blatant mention of sexual intercourse start at the Epic of Gilgamesh (believed to be the first written story in history, and the oldest tale over all), and most written works since then contain it in some form or the other.

The goal of the artist, and the intent of the of work are necessary knowns to label something pornography.  The great painters studying the human form weren't creating p**n, were they?

As for a novel being considered dirty - that's a personal choice, some people are much more puritanical about s*x than others.  As a reader, watcher, etc you make that choice on your own, but one must bear in mind that what's "dirty" to them is likely perfectly acceptable to others.
