  1. well your mother and father have to be royalty like such as king queen, prince princess.whatever runs in the family

  3. A prince is the male heir to a sovereign. (prince, grand duke, king, queen, etc depending on the country)

A princess in her own right is the daughter of a sovereign. Another type of princess is a woman who marries a prince. she must use her husband's title, to indicate that she does not have it by birth. (For example, Prince Michael of Kent's wife is known as the Princess Michael of Kent, and not as the Princess Marie Christine of Kent.)

There are other variations, such as Prince of Wales (the heir to the British throne) or Princess Royal (the eldest daughter of the queen). In some monarchies, like Spain, the heir is called 'Prince', whereas the daughters of the king are called 'Infanta'. (Except for the heir's wife, who is also referred to as 'Princess")

They have to be from royal blood.  Now if the Prince marries a woman that is not from royal blood or vice versa...then she or he will still be called Princess/Prince but will never get to the throne.  Now the prince who marries a regular woman may become king or his kids may be the next king or queen.

Greatest example of all Princess Diana.

Only the first born heirs the throne.  Unless the first born dies then the second heirs it.
