What makes a ruler machiavellian?

can someone give me examples of contemporary machiavellian leaders/rulers and explain why they are machiavellian i am not quite sure what it means to be machiavellian. Also please make them leader leaders not secretary of state and all that stuff like people did on my last question thank you

  1. I don't want to give you directly some names, it's not correctly...

    But this could be good example.

    Imagine some president who gives some country rule for independence... That country has minerals, magmas, water... And of course, people who live there are poor and they will receive help from that president. But, problems start... Some rich and development countries are not for Independence and they insist that this president re-change his decision. However, he will avoid percussion...He is machiavellian; for him ''aim avers instrument'' and it is not important what he did. He had broken the rules, international rules, but his country's economy is the most important.
