What makes a wave barrel....?

to most people im ur typical california beach kid, im on my schools surf team and i go to the beach almost everyday. but around huntington beach there are rly no barrel waves except for the river jetties and the wedge. does anyon know what makes a wave barrel

there are barreling waves in HB. WHAT?! but it's the wind, and the sea floor underneath. you should've come yesterday, it was sick.
