Beer and wine are very delicious and interesting. They have lots of interesting and good flavours that people like. Unlike juice or soda, people tend to pay lots of attention to all the different tastes in beer and wine. There is a very wide range of flavours someone can taste in them, and alcohol-lovers enjoy many of them.

Alcohol of course makes people feel good. Dinkers enjoy those feelings.

Flavor. I love the taste of a finely crafted beer. Not your mass produced stuff, small batch microbreweries and imports that craft their beer using time honored tradition.

I grew up around what is known as "craft" or "micro-brewed" beer so as I have always known beer to be a tasty beverage.  What's not to like about something that tastes good?  

Wine is kind of the same way but it destroys my stomach when I drink it so I tend to avoid it.  Regardless, it's tasty before the rot-gut sets in.

I'll personally never understand why people drink crappy beer, wine, and spirits though, I see little appeal other than copping a cheap buzz.
