What makes chilean rose tarantulas unique to other species?

  1. i think it's that they shoot poison. like the dart poison at their prey/ i could be mistaken.

I do not know of anything that makes them unique to the other species of tarantula, except maybe that they are considered the most docile and friendly tarantula (if you can even use the description with a spider).  That, along with the relatively weak venom is why they are number one as a beginner's pet tarantula.

    They can also kick off urticating hairs, which are barbed hairs that can cause irritation, but most new world tarantulas have these hairs.   The Goliath bird eater (Theraphosa blondi) is known to have about the worst of these hairs, and that they can do more damage than the spiders venom.
