There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality.  Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away.  The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires.  Nevertheless, the truth stands:  The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

      Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible.   It goes against the created order of God.  He created Adam and then made a woman.  This is what God has ordained and it is what is right.  Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.

What should be the Christian's Response to the Homosexual?

      Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.

      As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin.  Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

But then, see, there was this JC guy who came along.  He hung out with 12 other guys (???) and rescued prostitutes from the morally "righteous," and he said straight out " NEW COVENANT!!!  All those old laws?  Trash.  Two new laws."

JC never said BOO about teh g*y.  Neither did his disciples.

if you read "The Holy Bible" or any of the other religions bibles,

I think they say it a sin,

because it not natural for humans to be homosexual,

with the reproduction of yourself and stuff.

I don't personally find it a sin,

since a person is made that way,

and you can't change that persons sexual preference,

What's written in the bible are instructions for those living in the fields away from women.  It advises them not to satisfy their sexual desires with the animals or other men.

Passed down through time, this has been translated to mean homosexuality is wrong.

Sin is generally associated with things that are bad for us.

As all of my g*y friends are now dead, nearly a dozen in all, I tend to associate a homosexual lifestyle with a tendency toward self destructive behavior.

I tried to find a study that would provide me stats of longevity and median ages of death among homosexual males.

There were several, most supporting my supposition, a few didn't.

However, I discounted each of them, due to biased preparation or poor sources.

With the exception of two.

I found a comprehensive study released in 1978.

The Spada Report reported only 2.5% of the homosexual population, was over age 65.

J. Spada was openly homosexual and polled 1,022 male homosexuals by mail.

1978 is considered a "pre-AIDS" year.

Compare that with the country, including g*y males:

In 1970 our over 65 population was 9.7%

In 1980 it was 11.1 %

In 1990 it was  12.3%

Once the AIDS epidemic was underway, I found that:

In Canada, in 1997 a study on the life expectancy for a 20 year old g*y or bisexual man found they were 8 to 20 years less than all men. The authors estimate that " nearly half of g*y and bisexual men currently age 20 years will not reach their 65th birthday.

What I found unexplainable, is that there was no comprehensive study, with a large sampling; published by any major entity.

There are thousands and thousands of recitations of studies, including some before the Supreme Court, and from the Surgeon General's office.  However, every study recited is minor and usually from a 3rd tier source or lower.

How very odd.

In 40 years, not one pro-homosexual university, or branch of government has ever published such a study.  Even with the media prestige that would automatically follow any pro-homosexual findings.  

A study favoring or equating homosexual lifestyles would be quoted as secular doctrine for dozens and dozens of years.

The authors would be like secular gods.  Why would anyone not grab that gold ring?

Supposedly, a man is SUPPOSED to be with a woman and a woman should be with a man. Maybe because God wants to reproduce but that can not be a reason. There are plenty of people that can not have kids.

I say it's a double standard. What's the difference between a man and a woman, a man and a man, and a woman and a woman? Now much, other than the fact that the ones that are g*y probably love each other the same amount  as any other relationship, maybe more.

I think it would probably be a sin, because we were all made like we are for a reason, so men and women are meant to be together because they can reproduce, and if your homosexual, then you can't reproduce naturally with your partner. I suppose this goes against the way god made us and in his eyes and in the eyes of religious people, it count's as a sin.

Well if you perfer to label homosexuality a sin. I think it's just wrong for a man to be with a man or woman to be with a woman! Think about it!
