  1. You know that you know.

That's the property of homo sapiens.

The full term being homo sapien sapien.

Unlike any animal, we know that we KNOW.............

  2. The #1 reason...is that I am certain that both of your parents were Homo sapiens...

  3. Hominids are all apes who are able to walk upright.  It is believed that was the beginning of intelligence where the human ancestory started to separate from monkeys.  The only surviving hominids are homo sapiens or humans, although there were numerous other types or human like hominids in Africa, Europe, middle east and far east Asia. All believed to have descended from an African find. The oldest hominid was found in Ethiopia, Africa. a 3 million years old, almost  complete female skeleton was found in the 60s. She is named "Dinknesh" in the local language meaning "magnificent" Some call her "Lucy" She is now, by the way, very controversially on tour in the USA, currently in Huston.  The oldest homo sapien or human remain was also found in Ethiopia Africa.  it is a 135,000 year old male skull.  They called it Homo Sapien Idaltu.  Where Idaltu meaning older.   Of course it is long believed Africa to be the origin of man kind but the above finds make Ethiopia, specially the Afar region of Ethiopia in the eastern great rift valley,  the cradle of humanity or Homo Sapiens.

The ability to walk upright with locking knee mechanism enabled our ancestors to use their hand and make tools.  This making of tools have one profound effect, the development and sophistication of the brain.  The rest is history.

  4. Developed brain your stance view of things the list goes on.

  5. You're a Homo sapiens because you carry the genes of a Homo sapiens, can presumably breed with others of them and have viable offspring, and  your parents were both Homo sapiens.

By analogy Homony, hominan, are you trying to say "ad hominem"? That means "about a person." It's used in the context of debate, when instead of debating the pertinent issue, you attack your opponent's personality and/or body. Like calling them ugly, instead of saying their argument is wrong for the following reasons...

  6. Your a human being and not a monkey.  Not that we were ever monkeys.  Yeah we share DNA with monkeys and apes, but we also share some DNA with houseflies, dont mean we were once houseflies.

  7. That is a scientific term based on evolution.  If you take the Biblical account of creation we are simply humans.
