Today, after arriving home from work, my son asked me about the rising mist. I somewhat explained to him about it. Perhaps someone could give better details.

We have already reviewed " Search for questions:" with 44 non related results for "What makes mist rise". I know that I could go to a site to find more information on this. I am showing him how Answers works. In advance, My son and I Thank You for your answers. My son says " your cool answers".

  1. MIST, FOG

an obscurity in the lower layers of the atmosphere caused by the condensation of water-vapour into fine droplets, which are held in suspension. a 'haze' is a mist in which the obscurity is caused by dust particles instead of droplets. over the land, mists and fogs are usually caused by the direct cooling of the air immediately above a surface which is below the dew-point.

  2. mist usually occurs when you have a layer of colder air above warmer waters.  This is common over bodies of water.  However, in a case like yours the air was much colder than any water that was on the ground due to rain.

Mist is basically fog which forms when humidity levels are 100% (or when the air temperature is the same as the dew point).  The only difference is visibilities.  If visibility is less than 2000 yards it is called fog, if visibilities are greater than 2000 yards it is called mist.  (Or 1km which is ~2000 yards. )

  3. mist is a very castration  of humanity and the cool top riches great , and the heat mack it rise then a combination of higher temperature with win, force it to go away every time i go hunting you fill it ,is a Dede cool no win then the sun Com's and you fill a ice cool win blow  by and you see the Claus blow  ewe.
