  1. Lifting first is better, the run can be used no only for cardio but to stretch your muscles after the workout.

  2. In terms of training effect there is no real difference from running in the morning or in the evening.  It really boils down to when you want to train.  Some people are early risers and like to get at it first thing.

Me I am a lunchtime runner, but also run with a club 2 nights a week for two of my runs. Sunday AM is when I do my LSD run of the week allowing for a 2 – 3 hour block is easier in the morning then in the evening.

Running is a great way to get you through the day(morning), or get you through the rest of the day (lunch) or to finish a day (evening).  However be aware that you should plan an evening run to be finished at least 2 hour before you go to bed.  An evening run can rejuvenate you and get the endorphins going, so you may want to make sure you allow time to come down from the runners high.

  3. do the run first

other wise your body will have a build up of lactic acid

whixh means when your run it will burn like h**l  and you wont finish

  4. i usually lift first

  5. i tend to run first then lift this way my body is as warmed up from running so i  dont pull anything

  6. lift and squats first then running warm up then strech and then that days straining

  7. Depends on what you are going for.  I tend to have athletes run first and then do their lifting.  The fatiguing factor of lifting can change the mechanics of running more than running changing the mechanics of lifting. If you are in a sport, you should always try to mimic the mechanics of game time.  For a sport that requires running movement, you are lifting to become a stronger athlete -- i.e. generating more power into the ground to become more explosive.

If you are a competitive lifter, I would say that you do the opposite and lift before your running.  Running is then used to complement your lifting and is used as a fat burning or cross training tool.

    Good Luck!

  8. I suggest running for like half mile to warm-up then to do your lifting and finish off with a good run.  So technically lifting 1st.

  9. Gotta lift first - don't use up all your energy on cardio if you're trying to gain mass.

  10. What are your goals? This question is very vague.

For short term, running before gets your heart rate up, giving your body more energy due to the increased blood and oxygen through out your body.

If you're talking about long term, you should run 1st, to burn off overall fat since muscles build UNDER fat.
